Information for Booksellers

Welcome to the source of all the information you will need on the practicalities of working with The Toby Press. Here is information on how to order, discounts, how to request galleys, about co-op and ordering and all the marketing tools we have available to help you make the most of selling our books.

FOR BOOKSTORES
AVAILABILITY - Toby Press books are distributed by Baker & Taylor, Ingrams and other fine distributors. However, if you prefer to purchase directly, we're pleased to process your orders quickly. Please contact us or your sales representative for terms.

FREIGHT POLICY
For INVOICED ORDERS, we use UPS standard service, and charge $5 for the first book, plus $1 for each additional book. Express deliveries are charged at cost
Alternatively, we are pleased to use Fedex Ground Collect or UPS Consignee Services, or similar collect services at the customer's request. Please advise your account number if you'd like us to ship with those services
Freight is FOB our warehouse in Danbury, Connecticut

PAYMENT TERMS Net 30 days from date of invoice - A finance charge of 1% is added to all unpaid invoices after 30 days
Payment can accompany orders in the following manners: By AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERCARD or VISA credit cards - Please advise card type, number, expiration date, name on card and billing address (if different to bookstore)
By check drawn on an American bank in US funds, accompanying mail orders

MARKETING SUPPORT
GALLEYS - We publish many first time novelists, so we always make sure a number of advance galleys are available to booksellers, to help you discover new talent. If you would like a galley of any of our titles, please email us at toby@tobypress.com
DOWNLOAD COMPLETE BOOK DETAILS - Full details of About the Book, About the Author, The Critics Write, and Cover Art are included in our latest catalogue. These are all available to download or copy from the site. See the Books section, and download the entire catalogue as a pdf by clicking here (warning: 5mb file).

CO-OP
The Toby Press offers various programs for advertising and promoting books. Please contact us or your sales representative for more information.

RETURNS
GENERAL - Books must be in a new and saleable condition. We cannot issue credit for used or store-damaged books
RETURNS AUTHORIZATION - Please notify us in writing (fax or e-mail before returning goods, and the details of the returns. We will issue a Returns Authorization promptly, with instructions. We can issue credit only if we have full details of the books and customers returning them.
BOOKS MUST HAVE BEEN PURCHASED FROM US - We cannot issue indirect credit. Books purchased from a distributor should be returned to them.
RETURNS FOR GOODS DAMAGED OR SHIPPED IN ERROR - Returns will be accepted for exchange for correct merchandise

FOR LIBRARIES
Toby Press books are available from all library distributors including Baker & Taylor, Blackwell's, Brodart, Ingrams and others. If these are not convenient, we invite libraries to order direct at the same terms as consumers. We are pleased to invoice you upon receipt of a written or faxed purchase order.

FOREIGN RIGHTS
All Toby Press books have world English rights, and are available for resale anywhere in the world
