Dan Miron is a noted Israeli literary scholar. Miron holds the title of
Professor Emeritus at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and is currently
Professor of Hebrew and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. Miron is
the Laureate of the Bialik Prize for Jewish Studies, has received the Israel
Prize for the Study of Hebrew Literature, the Manger Prize for the Study of
Yiddish Literature, and the Jewish Cultural Achievement Award for Social,
Literary, and Cultural Studies.
